Description
English: Distorted panoramic photo from the recreational hiking area at Moutmarka in the Færder National Park on the southwest of the island Tjøme on the western side of the Outer Oslo Fjord, Norway.
  • The picture is taken from the beach area along the coastal hiking trail, overlooking the entrance to the Tønsberg Fjord in the west.
  • A late afternoon (early evening) in October.
  • The archipelago and coastal landscape, including:
    • Hills and crags, islets and skerries sculpted by the movements of ice during the last ice age and shaped as rocky outcrops in a north-south direction, with gently sloping inclines to the north and steep descents to the south, featuring cracks, crevices, and rocks.
    • Pebble beaches, seaweed in the tidal zone, low coastal vegetation adapted to salt air and wind.
  • Strong winds (mild south winds with occasional gusts?) causing waves, a turbulent sea (rough water and sea surface), sea spray, foam, and wet rocks.
  • Warm light from the low sun in the west (backlight), a clear sky with a few clouds.
  • Birds in motion are repeated in the panorama because the photo is constructed as vertical segments as the photographer turns the camera and pans across the scene.

  • Skjærgården og kystlandskapet med blant annet:
    • Koller og knauser, holmer og skjær som er skurt av isens bevegelser under siste istid og formet som svaberg i retningen nord-sør, med svakt skrånende helninger mot nord og fall mot sør, med sprekker, kløfter og steiner.
    • Rullesteinsstrender, tang i fjæra, lav, delvis kystvegetasjon tilpasset salt luft og vind
  • Kraftig vind (mild sønnavind med enkelte storm i kastene?) som gir bølger, opprørt hav (urolig vann og havoverflate), sjøsprøyt, skum og våte steiner
  • Varmt lys fra lav sol i vest (motlys), klar himmel med enkelte skyer.
  • Fugler i bevegelse gjentas i panoramabildet fordi det bygges opp som loddrette biter etter hvert som fotografen vrir kameraet og panorerer over motivet
