In diesem Bereich begann der westelbische Teil der historische Landesgrenze Königreich Sachsen Königreich Preußen. Im Hintergrund, auf der anderen Elbseite, sind die Gaitzschhäuser zu sehen. In dem kleinen Ort steht die letzte ostelbische Grenzsäule Nr. 212. Von hier, bis zum Dreiherrenstein bei Lucka, beginnt die Nummerierung der Grenzsäulen wieder mit 1.
