Summary edit
DescriptionMV-22 Osprey 1.jpg | A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey lands at Hurlburt Field, Florida (USA), on 2 April 2006 on its way to an air show at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command was expected to get 50 CV-22s, an Air Force-modified version of the MV-22, starting November 2006. Designed to conduct long-range missions, the tilt-rotor aircraft offers increased speed and range over other rotary-wing aircraft. Two CV-22s were at Edwards AFB, California, undergoing operational testing in 2006. |
