Description
Español: Héroes de Iquique, obra en la que el artista Alfredo Urrutia, presidente del Club de Modelismo Naval, creó dos maquetas instaladas en el metro Cal y Canto (línea 2) de Santiago de Chile: una con una escena del combate naval de Iquique y otra del combate naval de Punta Gruesa, ambos ocurridos el 21 de mayo de 1879. A la izquierda está la primera escena, en la que el monitor peruano Huáscar se apresta a embestir con su espolón a la corbeta chilena Esmeralda; a la derecha se ve el encallamiento de la fragata peruana Independencia, gracias al que la goleta chilena Covadonga se puede salvar.
