Description
Español: Daniel Rivero nació en Santa Cruz de la Sierra el 3 de febrero de 1876, hijo de Victorino Rivero y Benita Rivero Vargas. Estudió en el colegio "Seminario". Se ordenó como sacerdote el 8 de enero de 1899, desde entonces se dedicó a servir a sus fieles trabajando como párroco en diferentes lugares del departamento y ocupando diferentes cargos. El 3 de febrero de 1940 fue promovido a la más alta jerarquía Eclesiástica de Bolivia, el Arzobispado de Sucre, como Arzobispo de Heliópolis. En ese mismo año fue condecorado con la máxima distinción que otorga el Estado Boliviano, "El Cóndor de los Andes", y por sus grandes obras recibió la misma distinción a comienzos de 1960. Murió a la edad de 84 años, un 22 de mayo, en el lugar de su residencia, el Santuario de Cotoca.
