Summary edit

Description
English: A half-wave push-pull magnetic amplifier as described by C. W. Lufcy and H. H. Woodson.[1]

Windings N1, N3 and N5 are wound on ferromagnetic core 1.

Windings N2, N4 and N6 are wound on ferromagnetic core 2.

If cores 1 and 2 are stacked, then control windings Nc1 and Nc2 are actually the same one winding.

Otherwise control winding Nc1 belongs to core 1 and control winding Nc2 belongs to core 2.

The high-frequency AC supply voltage shall be connected to Xs-1 and Xs-2.

The weak control signal to be amplified is connected to Xc-1 and Xc-2.

The load is connected to Xld-1 and Xld-2.
