| Description |
English: Early evening on 4 January 2014 on Kiev's Independence square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti / Майдан Незалежности) during Euromaidan protests.
At the fore stand protesters with Ukrainian and pro-European flags in front of a constructed temporary stage. The construction supports a big electronic screen about 1/4th the size of the structure on its left side; the screen shows a live image of the present crowd. Below the screen and to the left of the stage is a big plackard with the text "Stop political repressions" and the picture of Yulia Tymoshenko, who at the time was still in prison. She was released on 22 February 2014. To the right of the stage is the Kiev Trade Unions buildingen:Trade Unions Building supporting a large screen which is about half the height of the building, and also showing the live picture of the same crowd. To the left of that screen is a large advertisement for a luxury wristwatch. Atop the building stand wordmarks of a Ukrainian tickets website, and a bank. |
