The main path leading to the Sheffield Botanical Gardens glasshouse. These gardens were planned in the 1830s and involved the collaboration of, among others, Joseph Paxton and the famed landscape gardener Robert Mamock. They were first opened to the public in July 1836 and, although falling into a state of disrepair at several points in the twentieth century, were fully restored in 2007.
