Handwritten on verso: 16092. Crevasse Lyman Glacier, Rail road Creek, Lake Chelan. Colors in a deep crevasse are light blue-deep blue green to deep purple to black. One finds many interesting things on a glacier besides crevasses. Water pockets, water wells, sun cups, thin cracks in the ice that will in time become crevasses, little streams of water running over the surface of the ice to disappear down a small fissure. Stamped on negative jacket: Lake Chelan Series. Glacial. Handwritten on negative jacket: 16092. Aug, 1916. Lyman Glacier. Large crevasse in Lyman Glacier Bruce looking in. Bruce was making movies for the Education Film Co. J.G. Sill camera man by camera in distance. Dog Ceaser on left. Red Mtn in background.
