English: This plant is used as a herbs to cure sicknesses in the community of Kadazan Dusun ethnic in Sabah. It helps to cure sicknesses such as diarrhea, bloating, back pain and eyes pain. It was believed that the wonod (water in this plant's stem) that can cure sicknesses.
Bahasa Melayu: Tumbuhan ini merupakan salah satu herba yang digunakan oleh komuniti etnik Kadazan Dusun di Sabah untuk menyembuhkan beberapa sakit atau penyakit seperti cirit-birit, masuk angin, sakit belakang dan sakit mata. Dipercayai bahawa struktur wonod (air dalam batang tumbuhan) merupakan bahagian yang berguna untuk menyembuhkan sakit tersebut.
