Description The Manual fire engine would have been transported to a fire by men pulling and pushing, note the wheels do not turn to the side so changes of direction were forced by the men. The pump was fed from the local water sources, with the fire brigade divided into those who were in the bucket brigade, pumping, and the others directing the water.
