| Description |
English: Manzanar National Historic Site, formerly known as the Manzanar War Relocation Center, with the Eastern Sierra in the background. This building, which now serves as a museum displaying replicas of barracks and other historical materials, used be a gym for the war relocation center. You can also see brown barracks in the lower right hand corner. You can drive your own car on a self-guided tour around the premises and look at what's left of the barracks, farms, etc. and a monument. The site was closed when this photo was taken due to the U.S. government shutdown of 2013. 日本語: マンザナー強制収容所の史跡 (マンザナー国定史跡)。後方はシエラネバダ山脈。この建物は現在、博物館の役目を果たしており、その中ではバラックのレプリカなど、数々の歴史的資料が展示されている。また、自分で運転するセルフガイド・ツアーも可能で、バラックや畑などの痕跡、そして慰靈塔を見ることができる。この写真を撮った時は2013年のアメリカ合衆国連邦政府の閉鎖の影響で閉館していた。 |
