Русский: Эта испанская карта Рио Уругвая на территории между Эстансия Сан Грегорио и Япею составлена Джозефом Варела-и-Ульоа (1739-1794 гг.), начальником испанской стороны в совместной испано-португальской комиссии по исследованию бассейнов рек Уругвай и Парагвай в период с 1784 по 1788 год. Исследования были проведены после подписания в октябре 1777 годя первого договора Сан-Ильдефонсо между Испанией и Португалией, урегулировавшего нерешенные пограничные споры между двумя империями в отношении района Рио-де-ла-Плата. Le lever eut lieu après la signature, en octobre 1777, du Premier traité de San Ildefonson entre l'Espagne et le Portugal, qui régla les litiges frontaliers entre les deux empires dans la région du Rio de la Plata. Cette carte montre l'itinéraire d'une équipe de topographes, le cours du fleuve et les cours d'eau qui le croisent, avec des représentations graphiques des rapides et des colonies de peuplement.

The survey took place after the signing, in October 1777, of the First Treaty of San Ildefonso between Spain and Portugal, which settled the outstanding border disputes between the two empires in the region of the Rio de la Plata. The map shows the route of a survey party and the river and intersecting streams, with pictorial representations of rapids and settlements.

Esta pesquisa ocorreu logo após a assinatura, em outubro de 1777, do primeiro Tratado de San Ildefonso entre Espanha e Portugal, que solucionou as importantes disputas fronteiriças entre os dois impérios na região do Rio da Prata.
