Description
English: 4th cent. B.C. votive relief to Artemis. "A family of worshippers has just reached the sanctuary to sacrifice a goat to Artemis. The goddess having close by her favourite deer is seated on a rock wearing a long chiton and sandals. A young man leads a goat for sacrifice. He is followed by the members of the family and one servant bearing a box on her head." Accession number: 1153. Archaeological Museum of Brauron. Brauron, Attica, Greece. Text: Museum inscription.
