Deutsch: Constantin Schwendler; Beschäftigung mit Fotografie ab 1845 (Klostergasse 8); Fotograf mit Atelier in Dresden: zunächst mit Bruder Friedrich August Schwendler, bei dem er gelernt hat, in Dresden-Neustadt, Große Meißner Gasse 9 von 1851 bis 1852, dann firmiert als Gebrüder Schwendler, Große Meißner Gasse 9 und Theaterplatz 1 - ab 6. Dezember 1852 eröffnete Constantin Schwendler sein "Atelier für Photographie" allein auf dem Theaterplatz 1; neues Atelier Constantin Schwendler auf Sophienstraße 5 Ecke Kleine Brüdergasse von 1863-1891 (gegenüber von Weber's Hotel): 1862/1863 läßt sich Constantin Schwendler einen repräsentativen Neubau nach dem Abriß des alten Opernhauses 1862 mit großen Atelierfenstern im Obergeschoß errichten, in dem er bis zu seinem Tod 1891 tätig ist.
