English: From right to left, Col. Randall P. Newman, commanding officer of Regimental Combat Team 7, Lt. Col. Christian G. Cabaniss, the commanding officer of 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Lt. Col. John E. McDonough, the commanding officer of 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Lt. Col. Abdul Hai, commanding officer of 6th Kandak, 3rd Brigade, 205th Corps, Afghan national army, Lt. Co. Gul Agha Amiri, commanding officer of 7th Kandak Afghan Boarder Police, Lt. Col. Gulai Khan, the district chief of police, and Mir Hamza National Directorate for Security district chief, observe a Remembrance Day ceremony aboard Forward Observation Base Delhi, Helmand province, Afghanistan, Nov. 8. Remembrance Day, similar to our Veterans Day and Memorial Day, is celebrated throughout the commonwealth, and is a time meant to remember all the veterans and victims of war.
