English: Lance Cpl. James N. Soyk, a tank recovery vehicle driver with Combat Logistics Company 51, Combat Logistics Battalion 5, 1st Marine Logistics Group inspects the road arm for leaks and cracks on the M88-A2 tank recovery vehicle while being over-watched by Lance Cpl. Matthew L. Willis, a tank recovery vehicle commander with CLC-51 at Camp Ramadi, on, Aug. 25, 2008. The M88-A2 is a 72-ton tracked vehicle that is capable of recovering any military vehicle, including aircrafts. Also known as "Hercules" for obvious reasons, the M88-A2 is the vehicle that pulled down Saddam's statue early in the war. |
