Description
English: Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills (left), commander of Marine Forces Reserve salutes the gravesite of Maj. Daniel Carmick in a wreath-laying ceremony at the St. Louis Cemetery #2 in New Orleans, Nov. 8, 2014. The ceremony honored Carmick, who fought in the War of 1812. Carmick distinguished himself by commanding Marines in the Battle of New Orleans, which helped repel British forces who sought to seize the city.
