The Pan American Airways Martin M-130 China Clipper (civil registration NC14716) at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in the 1930s. This aircraft remained in Pan Am service until 8 January 1945 when it was destroyed in a crash in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, reported as hitting a blackened out boat. 16 passengers and 9 crew members died in that crash. |
