Object history Provenance: The estate of the late Martinus Rørbye, auction 1849 no. 41. “Drengenes Ansigter dog ikke fuldførte”. The boys' faces unfinished. Later finished by Wilhelm Marstrand. The collection of C. von Bornemann (1905, 1909). The collection of director Hans Tobiesen, his auctions, part III, Winkel & Magnussen 388, 1954 no. 99. Auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen Auctions on November 27, 2018; not sold (Lot 883/148).
