Object history Provenance: The artist's estate auction 1849 no. 78. Here purchased by Count Danneskiold-Samsøe. Art dealer Martin Grosell, his estate auction Winkel & Magnussen 114 (part III), 1932 no. 147. Cecilie Brandt, the daugther of iron founder K. Brandt (her collection mentioned in “Kunst i Privateje”, 1945, vol. III, pp. 288–290). Thence by descent. Sold at Bruun Rasmussen Auctions on November 27, 2018 for DKK 300,000 (Lot 883/144).
