English: Built in 1915, this Beaux Arts-style building features a red brick exterior, low-slope roof surrounded by a parapet, terra cotta trim, one-over-one windows, arched window openings on the second and fifth floors, lightly modified first floor retail shopfronts, multiple entrances to the upper floors from the surrounding sidewalks, stone belt coursing, a side entrance to the Masonic Temple inside with an aluminum Art Deco-style canopy, transom, and replacement aluminum storefront door, recessed spandrels between the third, fourth, and fifth floor windows with trim accents, a band of trim at and above the fifth floor windows that arches over the top of the window bays and is interrupted by keystones at the center of each bay, a bracketed cornice, arched parapet over the entrance to the Masonic Temple, window bays on he fourth and fifth floors above the entrance with a brick balcony with corbels and belt coursing at the fourth floor, pilasters between the windows, and deeply recessed spandrels with medallions, stone trim around the base of the building, and two circular signs for the masonic lodge hung at a 45-degree angle from the most prominent corner of the building. The building is a contributing structure in the Newark Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
