Description Matt Lauer, far left, the host of NBC’s “The Today Show,” speaks to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, center, Dr. Story Landis, center right, the director of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Raymond T. Odierno Sept. 5, 2012, at the NBC studios in New York. During the broadcast, Goodell announced that the NFL will donate $30 million for concussion and traumatic brain injury research.
