Das Rundbild ist einer Emblemsammlung von Julius Wilhelm Zincgref entnommen, die 100 Sinnsprüche illustriert und durch vierzeilige Sinngedichte erläutert. Die gespannte Armbrust steht für den Sinnspruch „Ni laxes rumpitur“ („Hart gespannt, bricht bald entzwey“) und versinnbildlicht das Sprichwort „In der Ruhe liegt die Kraft“.
Die Stadtansicht zeigt den Lustgarten und rechts das Neue Lusthaus, im Hintergrund von links nach rechts den Neuen Bau, das Alte Schloss, die Stiftskirche und die Alte Kanzlei.
