Nederlands: Portret van Mattheus Augustijnsz Steijn (1539-1606). Raad in het college ter admiraliteit van het Noorder Quartier te Dokkum. Heupstuk, staande, met handschoen in de rechterhand, een gevouwen brief of document in de linkerhand. Om de schouders een zwarte mantel met bontvoering. Rechts het familiewapen, linksboven twee gevouwen brieven, gemerkt Haarlem en Amsterdam, achter een lat gestoken. Pendant van SK-A-3865.
