Summary edit

Description
English: This small 1915 memorial was placed by the Daughters of the Confederacy where Commander Matthew Fontaine Maury, USN/CSN known in history as the "Pathfinder of the Seas" for his oceanography work once lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The house is long gone and only this half-buried memorial remained. City grass mowers chipped it partly away.
