Description
English: Bowl with 15 glyphs referring to its owner and the sacred chocolate maize drink, primary standard sequence: “Here is made the painting of her drinking vessel for chocolate atole, of Ix Sak Wayaas, holy person she is an impersonator of Nal in the ballgame” (translation by Yuriy Polyukhovych). Lower registry modelled with fluted bands and freshwater shell arranged as flower rosettes. Late Classical period, 550–950 CE.
Français : Bol décoré de quinze glyphes évoquant son propriétaire et la boisson sacrée des Mayas, suite primaire standard : « Ici est faite la peinture de son réceptacle pour boire du chocolat atole, d'Ix Sak, Awayaas, sainte personne elle incarne Nal dans le jeu de balle » (traduction Yuriy Polyukhovych). Partie inférieure à motifs modelés cannelés, ornée de coquillages en rosaces florales. Classique récent, 550–950 apr. J.-C.
