And it is greatlyto the credit of the much-malignedplumbing trade that such good work isproduced with such meagre assistance asthe plumber gets from his plans andspecifications. The architect in drawing up his con-tracts usually stipulates that the plumb-ing must conform to the drawings andspecifications, which clause would neces-sarily imply that the drawings and speci-fications contained all the informationthat might be necessary for the plumbingcontractor to not only give an intelligentfigure on the work required, but alsoto carry out his contract in a manner toinsure the very best results results ob-tainable.
