Identification notes edit

  • Stem somewhat fibrillose, with brown flesh.
  • Cheilocystidia flask-shaped with a long narrow neck or spindle-shaped, sometimes with crystals, approx. 50×15µ. Some spindle-shaped pleurocystidia.
  • Spores approx. 9×4.5µ.

Identified using "Funga Nordica";[1] the number of narrow-necked cheilocystidia suggested it could have been M. friesii, but I think the cap and stem are too big for that.
