English: Melverley Church St Peter's Church stands on the banks of the River Vyrnwy; it is the oldest of its kind in Shropshire. The church was rebuilt in 1406 after Owain Glyndŵr burnt it to the ground. The church has a Jacobean pulpit and a chained bible.
