Summary edit
DescriptionMemorial obelisk at Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp.jpg |
English: The memorial obelisk at Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Oranienburg, Germany. The GDR government emphasised the memory of political prisoners over other groups, hence the inclusion of eighteen red triangles on each side of the obelisk. These were meant to commemorate the eighteen nationalities of the political prisoners held at Sachsenhausen during the Nazi era. |
