Summary edit

Description
English: Memorial stone for the people of Snap. Snap was an ancient settlement 4 km west of Aldbourne, Wiltshire that was depopulated in the early years of the 20th century, reportedly to make way for sheep. Little trace of any buildings remains and the village is now woodland as can be seen in the background. The stone in the bottom right was placed there by pupils from a school in Swindon in 1991. su2276
