Description
English: Plaque recording a service held in remembrance of Major General Sir Howard Crauford Elphinstone, VC, KCB, CMG, Royal Engineers, who was "accidentally drowned at sea off Ushant" on 8 March 1890. The service was held in Exeter Cathedral by command of Queen Victoria on 20 March 1890.
