English: Miniature from the Alfonso manuscript, 1283 [Petzold 1986:84]. Miniature from Alfonso X's Libro del axedrez dados et tablas (Book of chess, dices and tables), c. 1283. Alfonso X was the King of Castile, León and Galicia from 30 May 1252 until his death in 1284. Book is kept at the St. Lorenze del Escorial, Madrid.
