Description
English: Mer Caspienne et un pipeline au large du Kazakhstan vue par Sentinel-2 le 17 novembre 2019.

La mer Caspienne est une vaste etendue d'eau situee en Asie occidentale, principalement alimentee par la Volga, issue de la fermeture d’une mer oceanique ancienne, l'ocean ou mer Paratethys. Bien qu'il s'agisse, d'un point de vue strictement juridique, d'un lac, on la qualifie couramment de plus grande mer fermee du monde.

Le 12 aout 2018 un accord important sur le statut juridique de la mer Caspienne est signe entre la Russie, l'Iran, le Kazakhstan, l'Azerbaidjan et le Turkmenistan.

Le nouvel accord concerne entre autre la construction de pipelines sous-marins pour le transport d'hydrocarbures, et des quotas de peche pour le partage des oeufs de caviar.

  2. Users shall make sure not to convey the impression to the public that the user’s activities are officially endorsed by the Union.
  3. Where that data or information has been adapted or modified, the user shall clearly state this.

GMES dedicated data and GMES service information are provided to users without any express or implied warranty, including as regards quality and suitability for any purpose.
