Description
Français : Type Merson, France. Surchargé durant l'exposition philatélique du Havre, 1929, qui n'a duré que quelques jours. Ce timbre est donc rare. Les surcharges lors d'événements (exposition, première aéronautique,...) sur des timbres d'usage courant étaient fréquentes au début du XXe siècle.
English: French stamp, Merson type. A surcharge was printed during the philatelic exhibition at Le Havre, 1929, which lasted only a few days. Therefore this stamp is quite rare. Surcharges were common for special events at the beginning of the 20th century.
