English: Metrobus 513 (YP52 CTO), a Scania OmniCity, in Horsham bus station, Worthing Road/Blackhorse Way, Horsham, West Sussex, on route 98. In September 2009 it was announced that Metrobus would be buying the operations of Arriva Guildford & West Surrey's Horsham depot. Metrobus took over on 3 October 2009, and this photograph was taken on the first day of Metrobus operations, Metrobus having taken over route 98. Unfortunately for Metrobus, their first day coincided with apparently some of the worst traffic congestion Horsham had ever seen, and so services fell apart. Route 98 was having real trouble, with large gaps appearing in its every 15 minutes frequency. 554 was put onto the route to cover a gap, and carry a large number of passengers waiting to go back to the park and ride car park. It is seen here waiting at the traffic lights to pull out of the bus station. As can be seen in comparison with the other photos, while at first it was blinded as running the full service around Southwater, it was soon changed to show a short working only as far as Hop Oast park and ride. Unfortunately the front LED blinds didn't come out in the photo, and the bus pulled away immediately afterwards, but you can see the destination on the side blinds.
