Description
Metronoom in de vorm van een lier op een gecanneleerde doorgezaagde kolom als voetstuk. het uur- en slagwerk is in de lier geplaatst, die met een laurierkrans is omhangen. De kolom is met een bloemenkrans versierd. Op het plint, waarop de lier staat, zijn notenbalken aangebracht. Op de schacht van de kolom de volgende inscriptie: OPGEDRAGEN AAN HET DEPARTEMENT DER MUZIJK IN DE MAATSCHAPPIJ FELIX MERITIS DOOR DESZELFS MEDELEDEN. A. BUIJN, D. VAN DIJL, C.G.N. HILKER, I.M KLEMAN, J. KUYPER, G.J. PALTHE. Op het plint de naam van de maker: C. Welmeer. In guirlande om de gecanneleerde kolom gedateerd: 1803.
