Krohn [kro.n], Michael, norsk Forretningsmand, f. i Bergen 14. Maj 1793, d. smst. 31. Aug. 1878, var, ligesom tidligere Faderen, Købmand i sin Fødeby 1829—50 og hørte til de ledende Mænd i Byens Forretningsverden. Banebrydende Associationsforetagender i denne skyldes han Initiativ og Planlæggelse; 1845 oprettede han »Bergenske Søforsikringsselskab«, 1852 blev »Det Bergenske Dampskibsselskab«, som senere udvidedes til det største Dampskibsrederi i Norge, stiftet efter hans Forslag og Indbydelse, og 1855 grundlagde han »Bergens mek. Værksted« med Tørdokanlæg i Solheimsviken. Ogsaa Broforbindelsen fra Nygaard til Solheimsviken skyldes ham, ligesom Oprettelsen af »Bergens Privatbank«, der udviklede sig paa Grundlag af en privat Diskonterrngsindretning, han i nogle Aar havde drevet sammen med en Del andre Forretningsmænd. I Byens Styrelse tog han ogsaa Del i mange Aar fra 1839 af ligesom i andre halvoffentlige Hverv, altid med sine Medborgeres Anerkendelse for dygtigt Reformarbejde. Det politiske Liv holdt han sig uden for.
