English: 3D animated AOM aggregate. The AOM aggregate was found in the anoxic layer of ampharetid site 124. The diameter was 12 µm, total cell volume of the aggregate (excluding intercellular space), based on the DAPI signal, was 76 µm3, the volume of the archaeal core (ANME-2a-647 - red) was 20 µm3 and the bacterial shell (SEEP1a-473 - green) was 25 µm3.
