Description
English: Midland Red bus 5991 (reg. UHA 991H), a 1970 BMMO Type S23, pictured in storage at Carlyle Works, having been withdrawn in August 1980. As the last BMMO bus ever built it was awaiting restoration, however it was cannibalised for parts a few years later and eventually scrapped. The chassis next to it is the former bus 373 (PHA 373M), originally a 1974 Ford R1014 single decker with 45 seat Plaxton Derwent bodywork (designated Type F3 by Midland Red), cut down as part of the programme to shorten some of these buses, then being reclassified as type code M3 (but this one was never completed).
