Summary edit

Description The MiG-17 was developed on the basis of the MiG-15 and used by different air forces in the region, as well as the air forces of the Warsaw Pact and Third World countries. In the Six Day war and the Yom Kippur War it was used by Syria and Egypt in an attack role. Two Syrian MiG-17s mistakenly landed at IAFB Betzet in 1968, due to a navigation error.
