Description Foundation stone at Mile End Chapel (Portsmouth Muslim Academy), Old Commercial Road, Landport, City of Portsmouth, England. Built in 1884–85 as a Baptist chapel to accommodate the congregation from an older chapel at Clarence Street (founded 1802), but they moved to Copnor Baptist Church in 1920 and the building passed into secular use. In 2006 it was bought by a Muslim group and converted into a school and mosque. It is a Grade II-listed building.
