Summary edit

Description
English: Military Way at Seabegs Wood At Seabegs Wood, a section of the Antonine Wall is clearly visible, but this site also has one of the best-preserved stretches of the Military Way, a military road that ran behind (i.e. south of) the rampart for the entire length of the frontier. The Military Way would have been used in the supply of forts and movement of troops. Though it is not conspicuous, it can be made out here at the highest part of the Seabegs Wood site. In this photo, taken while standing on the Military Way and looking eastward along its length, its route is visible as a grassy bank that spans the lower edge of the photo, and which recedes into the distance.
