| Description |
English: Millfield 2nd railway station (site), Tyne and Wear Opened in 1890 by the North Eastern Railway on the line from Durham to Sunderland, this station replaced an earlier one on the far side of the bridge. It in turn closed to passengers in 1955. View south east towards University and Sunderland. A Metro station was opened on the site of the original railway station in 2002, visible beyond the bridge. |
