Description
English: A spectacular pagoda devoted to world peace was built in Milton Keynes by followers of the Nichiren sect of Buddhism. It contains many relics and the outside features stone carvings depicting scenes from the Buddha's life. Its front requires climbing many steps guarded by temple lion statues. The front features a large golden statue of the baby Buddha with one hand pointing at the heavens above and one at the earth below from his legendary birth where upon delivery he immediately stood up in that pose and shouted "in the heavens above and earth below, I am the one!".
