English: A diagram of the Ancestral Tomb of the Ming (明祖陵, Ming Zuling) around 1590 before it and Sizhou (泗州) were consumed by the 1680 flooding of Hongze Lake, from the 1590 Overview of River Management. The garment tomb was begun under the Hongwu Emperor of the Ming c. 1386 and completed under the Yongle Emperor c. 1413. The map faces south. The seats of Sizhou Prefecture and Xiyu County are shown to the top right (SE). The upper southern river is the Huai and the lower northern river is the Yellow River, following the former course of the Si. |
