Mirkot is a village development committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal . It lies on the western side of headquarter of Gorkha. According to the Nepal census, 2011, it had a population of 5261 (2407 male and 2854 female) and had 1388 households in the village. It has ... total wards. It's neibhourhood VDCs are Gaikhur, Dhuwakot, Khoplang, Changli, Palungtar, Deurali,Choprak and Gorkha Municipality. The central part of Mirkot VDC is known as Bagdanda, where the main office of the VDC and Shrer Mirkot Higher Secondary School are located.
