Reed, who counsels with our sub-agent, Michael Bakhit, is stationed atAssuit and does evangelistic and Biblework in his dahabiyeh up and down theNile and off into the adjacent villages.We have twenty-seven colporteurs inEgypt and the Soudan and, in the yearrecently ended, when I arrived they hadcirculated 32,336 volumes, in spite ofthe harassing conditions caused by thewar. They had never had such opportuni-ties to reach the Moslem population;the circulation among the Moslems was2,124 volumes, a decided advance overthe past. A Different Cairo.
