Nederlands: Misthoornsokkel met windwijzer (haven Oudeschild). Op de sokkel stond vroeger een misthoorn, deze werd door de opkomst van radar niet meer gebruikt. De sokkel werd gered en kreeg een windvaan en twee stalen mannetjes. De stalen mannetjes uit 1932 gemaakt door smid Ben Paagman, stonden samen met een vlaggenmast als versiering op het oude havenkantoor welke in 1955 werd vervangen door nieuwbouw. In 1998 bestond Rijkswaterstaat 200 jaar en onderdeel van dit feest was het herplaatsen van de stalen mannetje op de sokkel. De oude misthoorn is te vinden in het Maritiem en Juttersmuseum. |
